We have run our third experiment on the various objects. These objects are with the multi-color live background. This test is performed as part of a series content. We have taken several kinds of egg theme as our subject and tried to remove the background of the images. For this, we have used three automatic online image editing tools such as Auto Clipping, Background Burner, and Clipping Magic. It provides us a variety of experience. We have discussed our experience here. We have made a review and taken an advantage of making a little compare and contrast. It is made between the manual photo editing work of Photoshop and the above mentioned three automated online tools.

Basic Shaped Object

Multi-Color Contrasting Live Background:

We have taken a photo of a colorful egg that has a multi-color contrasting background. To remove the multi-color background, it is pretty much difficult. To test the three online tools, we tried such an image. So that, we can take an ultimate test of these tools.

We uploaded the below image in autoclipping.com. We tried to remove its multi-color contrasting live background. The very online tool provides us two selecting options. The green is for selecting the main object. And the red is for selecting the background. We just drag the two options for selecting and automatically, it removes the background.

If you see the above image, you can find that the automated tool cannot remove the background properly. It removes background well, but it destroys the main object, its resolution, and the shadow also. The tool cannot edit the image edge, rather it ruins. However, this tool provides extra option to touch up, then it stays no longer automated tool.

This tool provides several edited images for selecting the best one and also offers touch up option that breaks the commitment of automation.

basic shape manual

We are dissatisfied so far with these tools. That’s why, at last we tried this simple shaped image in the Photoshop. We manually create a path by pen tool and selecting the path we remove the background. We apply drop shadow taking a new layer and make it soft by Gaussian blur that gives a realistic view. Maintaining the resolution, shadow, curved area, edge, pixel, etc. we become able to remove the background. Finally we got the image as we design. It looks better than before.

Conclusion:  It is the fact that the automated tools can complete the job faster. But, it is also true that they cannot achieve the desired quality of the photos. On the contrary, the manually image editing in Photoshop is the best way. You can do any types editing works on the pictures that have a single multi-color live background. The images edited in photoshop can also manipulate and re-utilize later.
